LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Types of massage
There are many different kinds of of massage, here are a few that I offer:
Swedish massage is based on Western anatomy and physiology. The techniques used during this type of massage are valuable for improving circulation of blood and lymph, relaxing muscles, promoting joint mobility, aiding in keeping the skin healthy and inducing general relaxation.
Deep tissue massage is a modality that can help with chronic muscle tension or muscular damage from an injury, for example, carpal tunnel syndrome. Deep pressure is introduced slowly with the fingers, thumbs and elbows to release deeper tissues. While the pressure used is generally more intense than in a Swedish massage, it shouldn't have to be painful to be productive.
Myofascial release is an effective hands-on technique that utilizes gentle, sustained pressure directed into fascial tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial tissue is continuous and omnipresent in the body, it wraps muscles and every division of tissue within the muscle. Performed directly on skin with little to no cream,
it is used to treat a variety of chronic disorders.
Acupressure is a bodywork technique based on the Eastern principles of acupuncture.
The fingers and hands are used in place of needles to stimulate points along meridians or channels to release blocked energy, thus improving the flow of chi (life energy) which
helps to bring the mind, body and spirit back into balance.
